Hadar (הדר) is a word that frequently appears in the bible usually describing something having an abundance of beauty. It’s a very modern Israeli name and also has a double meaning referring to citrus fruits and trees. People originally started using this word about the fruit citron (אתרוג), that has a special place during Sukkot, and slowly it became generalized for all citrus trees.
